Audio Mastering
Rock Shop Productions uses a combination of analogue and digital components to produce commercial masters with uncommon dynamism, width and openness, creating an output that is easily transferable from system to system, and which comes across as warm, powerful, lively, full and professionally commercial, without sounding over-compressed or trying to win a Loudness War.
Click on the links below to hear examples of Rock Shop's hybrid mastering process. Each link highlights the before-and-after results of one project. The first musical passage of each file (the first half of the file) is from the original audio sent in for mastering. The following passage/second half is a repeat of the first, but is made from the master processed audio instead. Take care when listening, as some files move up by several dB in gain after mastering.
